Arnim Rupp, Information Infrastructures and Software Patents
Arnim Rupp is an IT professional in the region of Frankfurt, Germany, and active member of FFII since 1999.
Arnim initiated the FFII database project which helped make many people aware of just how bad the software patents were that the European Patent Office had been granting. Arnim was the main organiser of FFII presences at various conferences and exhibitions in 2000 and 2001.
Arnim finished his studies in informatics with a thesis explaining the importance of interoperability and the efficiency of open source software in fields where this is important, such as the Internet.
Arnim attended the Linux New Media Award receiving ceremony on behalf of FFII on 2004-10-27.
