CompTIA, "Software Choice", Patents and Competition

!CompTIA is a lobby group of US origin that represents some big IT firms (IBM, HP, MS), and seems to be mainly driven by Microsoft. !CompTIA has repeatedly claimed that software patents are good for small companies.
In Europe, !CompTIA is headed by Hugo Lueders, an experienced German-Belgian organiser and EU lobbyist who has to some extent been successful in putting himself at the head of various organisational platforms that help European !SMEs get access to EU funding.
